The Nerve features a fully-adjustable stock trigger. It includes adjustable pre-travel, post-travel, firing point, and trigger pull weight (aka. magnetic retension).
· Pre-travel: The length of the trigger's forward swing. Screw inward for a shorter pull.
· Post-travel: The length of the trigger's rear (pull) swing. Screw inward for a shorter pull.
· Firing point: The point during the trigger's swing where the microswitch is actuated, and the marker fires. Screw inward for a quicker firing point.
· Magnetic retension: The weight for the trigger pull. Screw inward for greater pull weight.
Trigger pre-travel, post-travel, and firing point are all adjusted via small setscrews located in the trigger itself. The stock trigger and all other Nerve/Shocker triggers made by Smart Parts (Shocker stock trigger, Nasty trigger, Dynasty trigger, Freeflow stock trigger, Tonton trigger, etc) are all adjusted using a 0.05" allen wrench. New Designz triggers are adjusted using a 1/16" allen wrench. Other trigger manufacturers may use different adjustments.

Please note that there are two firing point screw holes in the stock Nerve trigger. The firing point screw will only be installed in one of them. You will want to use the top screw hole if you have a flipped switch, or the bottom screw hole if you have a non-Flipped switch. Check the Flipped microswitch mod page in the Related Links section for details on why this makes a difference.

Trigger magnetic retension is accomplished by adjusting a screw located behind the trigger, in front of the lower circuit board. This screw has a small magnet in the center which repels against a corresponding magnet located in the rear of the trigger. In order to access this adjustment, you must remove the board by removing its pins, which hold it in place. Once the board is out of the way, use a 1/8" allen wrench to adjust the magnetic set screw in or out.

Please note that aftermarket NDZ triggers allow for limited magnet adjustment without removal of the board. This is accomplished using a 3/32" allen wrench into the trigger magnet cage located above the post-travel screw in the face of the trigger. The cage can be adjusted by a small amount in either direction, but once you reach the limit you'll have to remove the board and adjust the frame magnet.

Here is a video to demonstrate board pin removal. Push out the board pins, pull them out the other side, remove the board and wiring harness.
