This page is a little more straightforward compared to my previous Mini VL frame development page. This Axe VL frame was a direct carry-over so there was less time spent in development. The main changes for the Axe version was a slightly altered mounting system to be compatible with the Axe transfer plate and bolt quickrelease system.
Once I was able to finish a prototype frame, I installed it on a test marker provided by a friend of mine (seen below):
Development on these frames was accellerated because I needed to finish prototypes so they would be ready for use at the Michigan Monster Game in July, which is a popular Big Game format event here in the local area. There's no better time to test new parts than a Big Game format event, so I had only one week to machine a fully-functional prototype. I was able to make the deadline, although I only had one functional frame available, rather than the typical 3-4 prototypes. It was a close call to miss the game.
Anyway, here's the finished prototype installed on the first marker to use one of the new frames (a Dark Axe in this case):
These frames required much less testing compared to the previous Mini frames because the designs were so closely-related. I was able to roll into production with them much quicker, and the first batch was available within a few weeks. They've become a very popular upgrade for custom marker builders and other players looking for a fully-upgraded Axe.

Availability:
These frames are available for any classic Axe marker from Nummech or one of their retailers. The frames are commonly available in black dust, black gloss, and silver dust colors. Occasionally I've done special orders for frames to be made in red or blue, but this is limited so it's not offered as a factory color. Below are some pictures of Axes using the frames in action.
